This classic New York prewar apartment was renovated by renowned architect Peter Marino in the late 1970s and transformed into an open clean modern space. Over the years, it was made more traditional: Floors were stained dark brown, window valances were installed, and the kitchen was renovated with dark, traditional cabinetry.
The goal here was to strip back all the fluff and restore the original design—open clean modern and current—to make the architecture take center stage.
