This pristine 30,000-square-foot (2,785-sq-m) mixed-use building is in the Collins Park neighborhood of South Beach, Miami. It comprises ground-floor retail spaces, second-floor commercial spaces for offices or additional retail use, and two floors of 10 high-end rental apartments. The project scope was to rebuild the entire block along Collins Avenue after a tragic fire destroyed everything except a 1920s historic art-deco structure.
A new structure was designed and constructed that would incorporate the existing building and respond to neighboring structures. The result is a new building that appears as three distinct parts while maintaining a historical aesthetic.
